Elizabeth won by a single touchdown in their 29-22 win over Bishop Machebeuf on Friday, Sept. 20.

Vincent Weber led Elizabeth’s aerial attack with 99 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and four interceptions. Weber also added 30 yards and one touchdown on the ground. James Lawrence was also Elizabeth’s leading receiver on the day.

Lawrence lead all Elizabeth rushers with 39 yards in the contest. Lawrence also tacked on 73 receiving yards.

Ryan Schmitt led Bishop Machebeuf’s passing attack with 146 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. Schmitt’s most relied on target in the contest was Stephen Luebbers, who caught four passes for 68 yards and one score.

Darius Richards lead all Bishop Machebeuf rushers with 113 yards in the game, averaging 10.3 yards per carry. Richards also tacked on 48 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Next up for each team, Elizabeth will play host to Summit, while Bishop Machebeuf will travel to play Eaton.
