Fountain-Fort Carson couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Grandview squad, losing by a score of 56-24 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Grandview quarterback Jacob Burr led the passing attack with 92 yards through the air. Jacob Burr’s favorite receiver in the game was Jordan Smith, who caught two passes for 26 yards and one score.
Grandview’s ground game was paced by Noah Schmidt who racked up 207 yards and four touchdowns in the contest, averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Schmidt also tacked on 22 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Tavian Tuli led Fountain-Fort Carson’s aerial attack with 125 yards through the air. Fountain-Fort Carson’s leading receiver was Noah Gerber, who caught two passes for 94 yards.
Dezmen Oliver paced the Fountain-Fort Carson rushing attack by racking up 166 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 7.2 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Grandview hosting Mullen and Fountain-Fort Carson taking on Overland.
