Hayden came back from a 14-point deficit to win by a score of 36-28 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Gilpin County quarterback Blake Boulter led the passing attack with 66 yards through the air. Boulter also added 69 yards on the ground. Stephen King was also Gilpin County’s leading receiver on the day.
Gilpin County’s ground game was paced by King who accrued 157 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 15.7 yards per carry. King also tacked on 53 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Hayden will stay home and play Plateau Valley, while Gilpin County will travel to play Soroco.
