Rifle easily handled Pueblo County by a score of 48-22 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Levi Warfel paced the Rifle ground game by accumulating 220 yards and four touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11.6 yards per carry. Kenny Tlaxcala added 69 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 11.5 yards per carry, as well as 23 receiving yards and one touchdown. Talon Cordova added 58 yards , averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
Chase Hartman led Pueblo County’s passing attack with 87 yards through the air. Joel Gonzales lead all Pueblo County receivers with two receptions for 31 yards.
Jose Handford lead all Pueblo County rushers with 159 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 8.8 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, Pueblo County will stay home and play Mitchell, while Rifle will travel to play Glenwood Springs.
