Prairie View lost by a single touchdown in a 16-9 contest against Smoky Hill.
Leslie Richardson III led Smoky Hill’s passing attack with 213 yards through the air. Smoky Hill’s leading receiver was Ryan Hollingsworth, who caught six passes for 106 yards and one score. Davien Norman contributed in the passing game as well, reeling in four passes for 63 yards.
Smoky Hill’s ground game was paced by Obasanjo Sanni who ran for 69 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Smoky Hill heading to play Far Northeast Warriors and Prairie View taking on Northglenn.
