Salida couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Buena Vista squad, losing by a score of 37-6 on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Brewer Matthews led Salida’s passing attack with 102 yards through the air. Salida’s leading receiver was Braden Collins, who caught three passes for 68 yards.

Salida’s ground game was spearheaded by Elijah Wyble who accrued 12 yards in the contest, averaging 12 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Buena Vista hosting Centauri and Salida taking on Cedaredge.
