D’Evelyn easily defeated The Academy by a score of 21-0 on Saturday, Sept. 21.
D’Evelyn quarterback Shane Bishop led the passing attack with 152 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions. Bishop also added 44 yards on the ground. Shane Bishop’s most relied on target in the contest was Mohale Mitchell, who caught two passes for 85 yards and one score. Thomas Lowry contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing three passes for 57 yards and one touchdown.
D’Evelyn’s ground attack was lead by Jude Mcintyre and his 41 yards on 10 carries.
Brandon Boston led The Academy’s passing attack with 225 yards through the air. Clayton Barrow lead all The Academy receivers with nine receptions for 108 yards. Francisco Diaz de leon contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing six balls for 63 yards.
Charlie States paced The Academy rushing game by racking up 20 yards in the game.
The Academy will stay home and play Middle Park, while D’Evelyn will travel to play Fort Lupton.
