Limon earned a win when they beat Meeker 42-28 on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Limon quarterback Trey Hines led the passing attack with 89 yards through the air. Hines also added 21 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Alex Carr lead all Limon receivers with two catches for 68 yards and one score.
Kory Tacha paced the Limon rushing game by racking up 151 yards in the contest, averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Tacha also tacked on one receiving touchdown. Jeremiah Leeper added 105 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
Ryan Phelan led Meeker’s passing attack with 352 yards through the air. Phelan’s favorite receiver in the game was Spud Kent, who caught two passes for 110 yards and one score. Kelton Turner got involved in the passing game as well, snagging three balls for 101 yards. Meeker also got 67 yards receiving from Jacob Shelton in the contest.
Jeremy Woodward lead the Meeker rushing attack by running for 86 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 6.1 yards per carry.
Limon will stay home and play Strasburg, while Meeker will travel to play Grand Valley.
