A man shot dead by officers outside the Lakewood Police Department headquarters last week has been identified.
Scott Johnson, 57, of Littleton, was shot at about 8 p.m. Sept. 20 outside 445 S. Allison Parkway, according to a police news release.
Police said Johnson and a woman were arguing when officers contacted the pair and Johnson pulled a handgun. Officers fired and Johnson was taken to a local hospital where he died.
An investigation is ongoing. Officers involved in the incident remain on administrative leave.
