Cheraw couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Kit Carson squad, losing by a score of 61-20 on Thursday.
Cordell Farmer led Kit Carson’s passing attack with 71 yards through the air. Sullivan Farmer lead all Kit Carson receivers with one reception for 48 yards.
Jayden Mccombs-farmer paced the Kit Carson ground game by racking up 185 yards and five touchdowns in the game, averaging 12.3 yards per carry. Mccombs-farmer also tacked on 42 receiving yards and one touchdown. Paul Mitchek added 123 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Kit Carson heading to play Cheyenne Wells and Cheraw taking on Granada.
