Air Academy easily defeated Cheyenne Mountain by a score of 44-6 on Friday.
Sam Beers paced all Air Academy rushers with 195 yards and five touchdowns in the game, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Ethan Martin added 99 yards on the ground, averaging 16.5 yards per carry.
Caden Bellew led Cheyenne Mountain’s passing attack with 96 yards through the air. Bellew also added one rushing touchdown. Cheyenne Mountain’s leading receiver was Jackson Blaylock, who caught two passes for 39 yards.
Nico Gagliardi spearheaded the Cheyenne Mountain ground game by gaining 45 yards in the contest, averaging 5 yards per carry.
Cheyenne Mountain will stay home and play Widefield, while Air Academy will travel to play Palmer.
