Basalt earned a win when they defeated Paonia 20-0 on Friday.

Basalt quarterback Matty Gillis led the passing attack with 113 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without an interception. Gillis also added one touchdown on the ground. Jackson Rappaport lead all Basalt receivers with five receptions for 55 yards and one score.

Cole Dombrowski spearheaded the Basalt rushing attack by running for 24 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4 yards per carry.

Logan Green spearheaded the Paonia ground game by gaining 27 yards in the game.

Next up for each team, Basalt will play host to Moffat County, while Paonia will travel to play Hotchkiss.
