Wray handed Brush a loss in a 35-21 showdown on Friday.
Tyler Collins led Wray’s passing attack with 96 yards through the air. Collins also added 90 yards on the ground. Collins’ most relied on target in the ballgame was Braydon Lapp, who caught two passes for 42 yards and one score.
In addition to Collins’ effort, Emmanuel Huerta lead the Wray ground game by accumulating 88 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Junior Arambula contributed 69 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per carry.
Brush’s rushing game was lead by Nick Wellen who ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 10.2 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Wray hosting Burlington and Brush taking on Fort Lupton.
