Durango easily handled Bayfield by a score of 55-0 on Friday.
Jordan Woolverton led Durango’s passing attack with 196 yards through the air, throwing five touchdowns without an interception. Woolverton also added 46 yards on the ground. Durango’s leading receiver was Gage Mestas, who caught three passes for 131 yards and two scores.
Everett Howland spearheaded the Durango ground game by gaining 80 yards in the contest, averaging 16 yards per carry. Nate Messier added 58 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Durango heading to play Pueblo Centennial and Bayfield taking on Alamosa.
Bayfield has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
