Woodland Park came back from a 12-point deficit to win by a score of 19-18 on Friday.
Woodland Park quarterback Colin Kucera led the passing attack with 171 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns and three interceptions. Colin Kucera’s most relied on target in the game was Tyler Baldus, who caught five passes for 80 yards and one score. Bryson Cox got in on the action in the passing game as well, snagging three passes for 65 yards and one touchdown.
Woodland Park’s rushing game was lead by Matias Lopez who tallied 26 yards in the game.
Hezekiah Gongaware lead the Battle Mountain rushing attack by accumulating 132 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Woodland Park heading to play La Junta and Battle Mountain taking on Summit.
