Alamosa couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Lamar squad, losing by a score of 48-25 on Friday.
Zane Rankin powered Lamar’s passing attack with 103 yards through the air. Rankin also added 31 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Blake Buxton lead all Lamar receivers with three receptions for 67 yards and two scores.
Walker Kee lead the Lamar rushing attack by racking up 180 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 16.4 yards per carry.
Alamosa quarterback Brendon Madril led the passing attack with 227 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and four interceptions. Madril also added 37 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Brenden Crowther lead all Alamosa receivers with eight catches for 128 yards and one score.
Luke Smith paced all Alamosa rushers with 45 yards in the game.
Alamosa will stay home and play Bayfield, while Lamar will travel to play The Classical Academy.
