Plateau Valley handed Hayden their first loss in a close 20-18 victory on Friday.
Emmet Kuper powered Plateau Valley’s passing attack with 75 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without an interception. Matthew Allen was also Plateau Valley’s leading receiver on the day.
Justice Kuper spearheaded the Plateau Valley rushing attack by finishing with 109 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 5.7 yards per carry. Allen added 97 yards on the ground, averaging 6.5 yards per carry, as well as 75 receiving yards and one touchdown. Payton Ferganchick chipped in with 90 yards and one touchdown, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
Plateau Valley will play host to Soroco, while Hayden will travel to play Vail Christian.
