Crews are poised to begin making snow at three Front Range ski areas and, with the arrival of cooler weather, operations could begin before the end of the week.
“We could go any night,” said Alan Henceroth, chief operating officer at Arapahoe Basin. “We could go on an hour’s notice. We’re thinking towards the end of the week, we’ll have a good chance to make some snow.”
A-Basin most likely will be competing with Loveland and Keystone to be the first Colorado ski area to open for the season.
