Flagler/Hi-Plains easily defeated Idalia by a score of 66-26 on Saturday.
Zayd Banks led Flagler/Hi-Plains’ passing attack with 239 yards through the air, throwing five touchdowns without an interception. Banks also added 47 yards on the ground. Chris Hile was also Flagler/Hi-Plains’ leading receiver on the day. Nick Schroeder got involved in the passing game as well, catching two balls for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
Cody Banks paced all Flagler/Hi-Plains rushers with 92 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 30.7 yards per carry. Cody Banks also tacked on 41 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hile added 71 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 11.8 yards per carry, as well as 93 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Flagler/Hi-Plains heading to play Arickaree/Woodlin and Idalia taking on Stratton/Liberty.
