Basalt defeated Paonia by a score of 20-0 on Friday, Sept. 27 at Homecoming.
Matty Gillis led Basalt’s passing attack with 113 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown without an interception. Gillis also chipped in one touchdown on the ground. Jackson Rappaport lead all Basalt receivers with five receptions for 55 yards and one score.
Cole Dombrowski lead the Basalt rushing attack by accumulating 24 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4 yards per carry.
Logan Green paced all Paonia rushers with 27 yards in the contest.
Basalt will stay home and play Moffat County, while Paonia will travel to play Hotchkiss.
