Fort Collins couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Broomfield squad, losing by a score of 55-17 on Thursday.

Zachary Kapushion led Broomfield’s passing attack with 160 yards through the air, throwing four touchdowns and one interception. Grant Swenson lead all Broomfield receivers with five receptions for 114 yards and four scores.

Caden Peters lead the Broomfield ground game by running for 268 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 20.6 yards per carry.

Fort Collins quarterback Hayden Iverson led the passing attack with 91 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown with no interceptions. Iverson also added 61 yards on the ground. Fort Collins’ leading receiver was Josh Leone, who caught three passes for 31 yards.

In addition to Hayden Iverson’s effort, Aaron Van Metre paced the Fort Collinsrushing game by accumulating 32 yards in the contest, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.

Broomfield will play host to Windsor, while Fort Collins will travel to play Greeley Central.
