Chaparral couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Cherry Creek squad, losing by a score of 49-7 on Thursday, Sept. 26.

Chaparral quarterback Konnor Ruth led the passing attack with 106 yards through the air. Konnor Ruth’s most prolific receiver in the ballgame was Josh Covak, who caught two passes for 48 yards.

Ruth spearheaded the Chaparral rushing attack by running for 33 yards in the contest, averaging 11 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Cherry Creek heading to play Overland and Chaparral taking on Regis Jesuit.
