Bennett couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Delta squad, losing by a score of 40-0 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Delta quarterback Nolan Bynum led the passing attack with 190 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns without an interception. Bynum also added 44 yards on the ground. Delta’s leading receiver was Hunter Hughes, who caught four passes for 110 yards and two scores.
Cody Sauve lead all Delta rushers with 60 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 8.6 yards per carry.
Mac Copeland lead all Bennett rushers with 41 yards in the game.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Delta heading to play Aspen and Bennett taking on Arvada.
