Denver East earned a win when they beat Mountain Range 19-6 on Saturday.
Dylan Wigglesworth led Denver East’s passing attack with 271 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns without an interception. Wigglesworth’s favorite target in the contest was Jay Barry, who caught six passes for 144 yards and one score. Aaron Franklin got involved in the passing game as well, hauling in six passes for 63 yards.
Isaiah Davis spearheaded the Denver East ground game by running for 28 yards in the game, averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
Mountain Range quarterback Koby Hudson led the passing attack with 68 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and two interceptions. Koby Hudson’s most reliable receiver in the contest was Logan Dexter, who caught four passes for 29 yards and one score.
Mountain Range’s rushing attack was spearheaded by Anthony Vieth who racked up 100 yards in the game, averaging 5 yards per carry.
Looking ahead to their next games, Denver East will stay home and play Westminster, while Mountain Range will travel to play Far Northeast Warriors.
