Denver West couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Denver North squad, losing by a score of 28-6 on Friday, Sept. 27 at @ All City Stadium.
Michael Valdez lead all Denver North rushers with 156 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11.1 yards per carry. Kenny Saiz added 82 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Izreal Garcia contributed 75 yards , averaging 12.5 yards per carry.
Joseph Valdez powered Denver West’s passing attack with 66 yards through the air. Valdez also added 41 yards on the ground. Joseph Valdez’s favorite receiver in the contest was Na’marcus Williams, who caught two passes for 88 yards and one score.
Alex Banuellos lead the Denver West rushing attack by accumulating 52 yards in the contest, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, Denver West will stay home and play Faith Christian, while Denver North will travel to play Holy Family.
