Hinkley easily handled Sand Creek by a score of 46-14 on Thursday, Sept. 26 at Aurora Public Schools Stadium, Football Field.
Xavier Starks led Hinkley’s passing attack with 77 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Starks also added 125 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Starks’ most prolific receiver in the contest was Jerry Taylor, who caught five passes for 50 yards and one score.
Hinkley’s rushing attack was lead by Ty’ren Draper and his 91 yards on 15 carries. Richard Taylor chipped in with 64 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 9.1 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Hinkley hosting George Washington and Sand Creek taking on Pueblo Central.
