Coronado easily handled Palmer by a score of 47-26 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Carlos Moreno led Palmer’s passing attack with 295 yards through the air. Jaiveon Kendrick was also Palmer’s leading receiver on the day. Jesse Saiz contributed in the passing game as well, catching six passes for 63 yards and one touchdown.
Palmer’s rushing attack was spearheaded by Kendrick who tallied 48 yards in the game, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Kendrick also tacked on 185 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Coronado hosting Grand Junction Central and Palmer taking on Air Academy.
