Pomona earned a win when they beat Highlands Ranch 30-20 on Friday, Sept. 27 at Shea Stadium.

Ian Dexter powered Pomona’s passing attack with 55 yards through the air. Dexter also added 73 yards on the ground. Jack Pospisil was also Pomona’s leading receiver on the day.

Pospisil spearheaded the Pomona rushing attack by finishing with 93 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Pospisil also tacked on 51 receiving yards and one touchdown. Ben Cruz added 85 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 8.5 yards per carry.

Highlands Ranch quarterback Jake Rubley led the passing attack with 209 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns and two interceptions. Konor Lathrop lead all Highlands Ranch receivers with five receptions for 72 yards and one score. Kole Lundquist contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing one pass for 53 yards.

Dylan Gurule lead all Highlands Ranch rushers with 56 yards in the game.

Highlands Ranch will stay home and play Rock Canyon, while Pomona will travel to play Lakewood.
