Pomona earned a win when they beat Highlands Ranch 30-20 on Friday, Sept. 27 at Shea Stadium.
Ian Dexter led Pomona’s passing attack with 55 yards through the air. Dexter also added 73 yards on the ground. Jack Pospisil was also Pomona’s leading receiver on the day.
Pospisil spearheaded the Pomona ground game by finishing with 93 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Pospisil also tacked on 51 receiving yards and one touchdown. Ben Cruz added 85 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 8.5 yards per carry.
Jake Rubley led Highlands Ranch’s passing attack with 209 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and two interception. Konor Lathrop lead all Highlands Ranch receivers with five catches for 72 yards and one score. Kole Lundquist got in on the action in the passing game as well, catching one pass for 53 yards.
Highlands Ranch’s rushing attack was spearheaded by Dylan Gurule who racked up 56 yards in the game.
Highlands Ranch will play host to Rock Canyon, while Pomona will travel to play Lakewood.
