Wray earned a win when they beat Brush 35-21 on Friday, Sept. 27.

Tyler Collins powered Wray’s passing attack with 96 yards through the air. Collins also added 90 yards on the ground. Braydon Lapp lead all Wray receivers with two receptions for 42 yards and one score.

In addition to Collins’ effort, Emmanuel Huerta paced the Wray ground attack by running for 88 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Junior Arambula chipped in with 69 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per carry.

Brush’s rushing attack was spearheaded by Nick Wellen who accrued 184 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 10.2 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Wray hosting Burlington and Brush taking on Fort Lupton.
