Buena Vista easily put away St. Mary’s by a score of 34-7 on Friday, Oct. 4.

Kik Molitor led Buena Vista’s passing attack with 122 yards through the air. Buena Vista’s leading receiver was Luke Reavis, who caught one pass for 67 yards and one score.

Jacob Phelps lead all Buena Vista rushers with 117 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 16.7 yards per carry. Phelps also tacked on 46 receiving yards. Kaden Mcfee added 73 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

St. Mary’s quarterback Caleb Pepper led the passing attack with 98 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception.

Robbie Muehlbauer spearheaded the St. Mary’s ground game by gaining 77 yards in the contest, averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Muehlbauer also tacked on 44 receiving yards.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Buena Vista heading to play Colorado Springs Christian and St. Mary’s taking on Florence.
