Mullen couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Columbine squad, losing by a score of 43-3 on Friday, Oct. 4 at Mullen High School.
Jadon Holliday led Columbine’s passing attack with 51 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown without an interception. Holliday’s most reliable receiver in the ballgame was Tanner Hollens, who caught one pass for 27 yards.
Adam Harrington spearheaded the Columbine ground game by finishing with 107 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Hollens added 86 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. Braeden Hogan added 75 yards , averaging 9.4 yards per carry, in addition to 22 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Kyle Remington led Mullen’s aerial attack with 115 yards through the air. Kaleb Perea lead all Mullen receivers with two catches for 37 yards.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Columbine hosting Lakewood and Mullen taking on Ralston Valley.
