Denver West couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Faith Christian squad, losing by a score of 41-12 on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Erick Granados spearheaded the Faith Christian rushing attack by finishing with 161 yards and four touchdowns in the game, averaging 10.7 yards per carry. Edoardo Castaneda added 120 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 8 yards per carry.

Joseph Valdez led Denver West’s passing attack with 200 yards through the air. Jacob Bustillos got in on the action in the passing game as well, catching five balls for 53 yards.

Denver West’s rushing game was lead by Na’marcus Williams who racked up 20 yards in the contest. Williams also tacked on 70 receiving yards.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Faith Christian heading to play Arvada and Denver West taking on D’Evelyn.
