Falcon couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Green Mountain squad, losing by a score of 45-6 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Green Mountain quarterback Trey Towndrow led the passing attack with 123 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. Towndrow also added 64 yards on the ground. Green Mountain’s leading receiver was Trey Corkin, who caught four passes for 41 yards.
Jacob Chavez paced the Green Mountain ground attack by racking up 100 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 6.2 yards per carry. Quinn Meinert contributed 53 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
Falcon quarterback Francisco Ponce led the passing attack with 72 yards through the air. Falcon’s leading receiver was Nolan Favreau, who caught three passes for 44 yards.
Landon Jones paced all Falcon rushers with 89 yards in the game, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Darius Mcfarland added 53 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
Looking ahead to their next games, Falcon will stay home and play Harrison, while Green Mountain will travel to play Conifer.
