Rock Canyon couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Highlands Ranch squad, losing by a score of 42-7 on Friday, Oct. 4 at Shea Stadium, Football Field.

Jake Rubley led Highlands Ranch’s passing attack with 177 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Rubley also added 50 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Jade Arroyo lead all Highlands Ranch receivers with two receptions for 66 yards and two scores.

Dylan Gurule spearheaded the Highlands Ranch rushing attack by running for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Kole Lundquist added 63 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 9 yards per carry.

Rock Canyon’s ground attack was lead by Brendan Biondino and his 37 yards and one touchdown.

Highlands Ranch will play host to ThunderRidge, while Rock Canyon will travel to play Valor Christian.
