Limon easily defeated Wiggins by a score of 48-7 on Friday, Oct. 4 at Limon High School, Lloyd Gaskill Field.
Trey Hines powered Limon’s passing attack with 85 yards through the air. Hines also chipped in one touchdown on the ground. Hines’ most reliable receiver in the ballgame was Brady Rockwell, who caught two passes for 56 yards and one score.
Limon’s ground attack was paced by Gabe Schubarth who ran for 59 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 7.4 yards per carry. Kory Tacha added 52 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 17.3 yards per carry.
Cole Kerr powered Wiggins’ passing attack with 82 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Wiggins’ leading receiver was Logan Kerr, who caught two passes for 38 yards and one score.
Wiggins’ rushing attack was paced by Cole Kerr who tallied 26 yards in the game, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
In their next games, Wiggins will stay home and play Wray, while Limon will travel to play Yuma.
