Sterling easily defeated Valley by a score of 49-0 on Friday, Oct. 4.

Sterling quarterback Brock Shalla led the passing attack with 110 yards through the air. Sterling’s leading receiver was Peyton Rose, who caught one pass for 62 yards.

Sterling’s ground game was paced by Riley Bornhoft who ran for 52 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 7.4 yards per carry. Xander Burns added 50 yards on the ground, averaging 25 yards per carry.

Jeff Gore spearheaded the Valley rushing attack by running for 39 yards in the contest, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Sterling hosting Brush and Valley taking on Weld Central.
