University couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Resurrection Christian squad, losing by a score of 56-12 on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Resurrection Christian quarterback Buck Coors led the passing attack with 218 yards through the air, tossing four touchdowns without an interception. Coors also added 198 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Reade Lindgren lead all Resurrection Christian receivers with four catches for 132 yards and three scores. Sawyer Shepherd contributed in the passing game as well, catching two balls for 54 yards and one touchdown.

Resurrection Christian’s ground game was lead by Tanner Applebee and his 74 yards on nine carries.

Chayden Cox led University’s passing attack with 101 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and two interception. Cox also added one touchdown on the ground. Cox’s favorite target in the contest was Tayt Chacon, who caught five passes for 55 yards.

Next up for each team, Resurrection Christian will stay home and play Eaton, while University will travel to play Prospect Ridge Academy.
