Alamosa easily handled Montezuma-Cortez by a score of 56-0 on Friday, Oct. 11.

Brendon Madril led Alamosa’s passing attack with 158 yards through the air. Madril also added 35 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Madril’s most relied on target in the ballgame was Ian Jackson, who caught six passes for 126 yards and two scores.

Alamosa’s rushing attack was lead by Luke Smith who racked up 54 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 6.8 yards per carry.

Montezuma-Cortez quarterback Ty Blackmer led the passing attack with 76 yards through the air. Kaleb Gropp lead all Montezuma-Cortez receivers with two receptions for 70 yards.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Alamosa hosting Salida and Montezuma-Cortez taking on Bayfield.
