Prospect Ridge Academy couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Berthoud squad, losing by a score of 42-6 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Berthoud quarterback Sam Baird led the passing attack with 167 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Baird also added one touchdown on the ground.
Cooper Stratmeyer spearheaded the Berthoud ground game by gaining 191 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11.2 yards per carry. Stratmeyer also tacked on 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Dylan Meredith led Prospect Ridge Academy’s passing attack with 86 yards through the air. Bryson Kenyon lead all Prospect Ridge Academy receivers with one catch for 47 yards.
Seth Hagan lead the Prospect Ridge Academy rushing attack by racking up 75 yards in the game, averaging 6.8 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Berthoud hosting The Academy and Prospect Ridge Academy taking on University.
