Front Range Christian couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Elbert squad, losing by a score of 46-14 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Elbert quarterback Nathan Tornone led the aerial attack with 171 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Tornone also added one touchdown on the ground. Sebastian Rose lead all Elbert receivers with four catches for 76 yards. Zachary Kieth contributed in the passing game as well, hauling in one ball for 56 yards.
Kade Bitterman lead the Elbert rushing game by running for 197 yards and four touchdowns in the contest, averaging 19.7 yards per carry. Bitterman also tacked on 21 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Front Range Christian quarterback Luke Hiltman led the passing attack with 315 yards through the air. Ben Bolz contributed in the passing game as well, catching six balls for 92 yards and one touchdown. Front Range Christian also got 70 yards receiving from James Davenport in the contest.
Front Range Christian’s ground attack was spearheaded by Christian Chisholm who tallied 24 yards in the game. Chisholm also tacked on 140 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Front Range Christian will play host to Justice, while Elbert will travel to play Calhan.
