Fruita Monument easily handled Centaurus by a score of 55-0 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Kade Bessert led Fruita Monument’s passing attack with 73 yards through the air. Bessert’s favorite target in the contest was Ethan Cox, who caught two passes for 68 yards and one score.
Armony Trujillo paced the Fruita Monument rushing game by racking up 85 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Denim Luster added 79 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, averaging 11.3 yards per carry. Leroy Brown chipped in with 54 yards , averaging 9 yards per carry.
Looking ahead to their next games, Centaurus will stay home and play Vista PEAK Prep, while Fruita Monument will travel to play Thornton.
