Holly earned a win when they defeated Hoehne 46-28 on Friday, Oct. 11.

Holly quarterback Dakota Eaton led the passing attack with 227 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns without an interception. Dakota Eaton’s most prolific target in the game was Eli Ramos, who caught four passes for 104 yards and one score. Alex Ramos got in on the action in the passing game as well, snagging three balls for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Andy Ramos spearheaded the Holly ground game by finishing with 86 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Diego Tamayo added 58 yards on the ground, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.

Weston Hill powered Hoehne’s passing attack with 92 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown with no interceptions. Hill also added 172 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Hill’s favorite target in the game was Robert Walter, who caught five passes for 67 yards and one score.

In addition to Hill’s effort, Jeremiah Montoya lead the Hoehne rushing attack by running for 97 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Holly heading to play Wiley and Hoehne taking on Sangre de Cristo.
