Cedaredge couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Meeker squad, losing by a score of 36-6 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Meeker quarterback Ryan Phelan led the passing attack with 175 yards through the air. Phelan also added one touchdown on the ground. Colby Clatterbaugh got involved in the passing game as well, grabbing three passes for 51 yards.
Meeker’s ground attack was spearheaded by Jeremy Woodward who ran for 101 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 12.6 yards per carry. Woodward also tacked on 65 receiving yards. Kelton Turner added 54 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 9 yards per carry.
Ty Walck led Cedaredge’s passing attack with 94 yards through the air. Walck’s most relied on target in the ballgame was Sterling Brown, who caught one pass for 88 yards. Colby Rupp got involved in the passing game as well, snagging two balls for 54 yards.
Dusty Emig lead the Cedaredge rushing attack by accumulating 33 yards and one touchdown in the game. Emig also tacked on 32 receiving yards.
Next up for each team, Cedaredge will stay home and play Grand Valley, while Meeker will travel to play Paonia.
