Del Norte couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Norwood squad, losing by a score of 52-6 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Carson Gardner led Norwood’s passing attack with 84 yards through the air. Gardner’s favorite receiver in the game was Broc Joseph, who caught three passes for 86 yards and one score.
Jamar Rankins paced the Norwood rushing game by racking up 144 yards and four touchdowns in the game, averaging 14.4 yards per carry. Christian Josephsen added 94 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 9.4 yards per carry.
Marcos Romero paced all Del Norte rushers with 71 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 4.4 yards per carry.
In their next games, Del Norte will play host to Sanford, while Norwood will travel to play Mancos.
