Rifle defeated Delta by a score of 47-29 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Rifle quarterback Holden Stutsman led the passing attack with 62 yards through the air. Stutsman also added three touchdowns on the ground.
Rifle’s rushing attack was paced by Levi Warfel who tallied 230 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. Warfel also tacked on 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. Kenny Tlaxcala added 69 yards on the ground, averaging 8.6 yards per carry.
Nolan Bynum led Delta’s passing attack with 253 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns and two interceptions. Bynum’s most prolific receiver in the ballgame was Hunter Hughes, who caught nine passes for 133 yards and two scores. Skyler Kraai contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing seven balls for 81 yards and one touchdown. Delta also got 52 yards receiving from Nathan Workman in the contest.
Ku Moo paced the Delta rushing attack by running for 46 yards in the game, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, Delta will play host to Basalt, while Rifle will travel to play Aspen.
