Rifle defeated Delta by a score of 47-29 on Friday.
Holden Stutsman led Rifle’s passing attack with 62 yards through the air. Stutsman also chipped in three touchdowns on the ground.
Levi Warfel lead all Rifle rushers with 230 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. Warfel also tacked on 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. Kenny Tlaxcala added 69 yards on the ground, averaging 8.6 yards per carry.
Nolan Bynum led Delta’s passing attack with 253 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions. Delta’s leading receiver was Hunter Hughes, who caught nine passes for 133 yards and two scores. Skyler Kraai got involved in the passing game as well, grabbing seven passes for 81 yards and one touchdown. Delta also got 52 yards receiving from Nathan Workman in the contest.
Delta’s ground attack was paced by Ku Moo who racked up 46 yards in the contest, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, Delta will play host to Basalt, while Rifle will travel to play Aspen.
