Smoky Hill easily defeated Denver East by a score of 49-26 on Friday, Oct. 11 at Stutler Bowl.

Smoky Hill quarterback Leslie Richardson III led the aerial attack with 116 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Richardson III also added 44 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Alec Pinkowski lead all Smoky Hill receivers with four receptions for 73 yards and one score.

Obasanjo Sanni paced all Smoky Hill rushers with 172 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

Dylan Wigglesworth powered Denver East’s passing attack with 135 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Denver East’s leading receiver was Isaiah Davis, who caught three passes for 48 yards.

Jay Barry lead all Denver East rushers with 25 yards in the contest, averaging 6.2 yards per carry.

Denver East will play host to Far Northeast Warriors, while Smoky Hill will travel to play Adams City.
