Colorado Springs Christian easily defeated Buena Vista by a score of 56-6 on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Caleb Stockton led Colorado Springs Christian’s passing attack with 91 yards through the air. Stockton’s most reliable receiver in the contest was Severin Grundvig, who caught two passes for 47 yards and one score.

Colorado Springs Christian’s rushing attack was lead by Peyton Brones who accrued 163 yards and four touchdowns in the game, averaging 14.8 yards per carry. Joe Dunn added 76 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Zephan Bachman contributed 56 yards and one touchdown, averaging 56 yards per carry.

Buena Vista’s rushing attack was spearheaded by Jacob Phelps who ran for 94 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 31.3 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Colorado Springs Christian hosting Rye and Buena Vista taking on Florence.
