Eaton earned a win when they beat The Academy 27-9 on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Adams 12 North Stadium.

Walker Martin led Eaton’s passing attack with 63 yards through the air. Martin also added 57 yards on the ground. Martin’s most prolific target in the game was Salvador Rojas, who caught one pass for 26 yards.

Gage Butler paced all Eaton rushers with 135 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 9 yards per carry. Ethan Florez added 75 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 12.5 yards per carry. Rojas chipped in with 63 yards and one touchdown, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

The Academy quarterback Brandon Boston led the passing attack with 259 yards through the air. The Academy’s leading receiver was Gabriel Espinosa, who caught six passes for 111 yards. Brandon Boston got in on the action in the passing game as well, grabbing one pass for 80 yards and one touchdown.

Ryland Boehmer paced The Academy ground attack by running for 13 yards in the contest.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Eaton heading to play Resurrection Christian and The Academy taking on Berthoud.
